Due to the delay in receiving the November installment of 1,500 rupees under the Chief Minister's My Beloved Sister Scheme, there is discontent among 2.5 crore women beneficiaries in the state. With no clarity on the December installment, the Mahayuti government's headache has increased against the backdrop of the 29 municipal corporation elections to be held on January 15.

In the last assembly elections, women voters gave significant support to the Mahayuti, which brought the government to power. However, now dissatisfaction is growing due to payment delays. A beneficiary from Solapur said that after checking the bank account for weeks, the November money finally arrived, but there is no information about December. There was an expectation that both installments would be received together, but the lack of regularity has caused discontent.

In the election, 2,869 seats are at stake, and in cities like Pune, Nashik, Thane, Solapur, and Nagpur, there has been a six percent increase in women's voting. In the previous election, the grand alliance won 230 seats, but now women's issues are being raised in the campaign. Leaders of the grand alliance have admitted that this is causing difficulties.

A senior official said that although the November installment has been released, the December installment depends on the approval of the finance department. Due to the code of conduct, it is difficult to get approval before the election. The opposition has accused that installments are delayed due to lack of funds, and female beneficiaries are demanding timely payments.

Summary

• November installment deposited late
• December installment depends on finance department approval
• Payment issues due to code of conduct
• Discontent among female beneficiaries increased
