KYC (Know Your Customer) is mandatory for beneficiaries of the Maharashtra government's 'Ladki Bahin' scheme. The last date for KYC was December 31, 2025. Women who completed KYC before this date will continue to receive the benefits of the scheme, but those who did not complete KYC will have their benefits stopped. Out of approximately 2.5 crore beneficiaries of the scheme, 45 lakh women have not yet completed KYC. Therefore, it is being speculated that their benefits may be stopped.

Benefit of 4.5 million women at risk; KYC process underway

Many of the 25 million beneficiaries have completed KYC, yet 4.5 million women have not completed the process. The KYC process for some beneficiaries of the scheme is still ongoing. Women whose husbands or fathers are not alive have submitted the relevant documents to the Anganwadi workers. The work of uploading this information on the portal by Anganwadi workers is underway. Therefore, it is likely that the KYC of these women will be completed.

November-December installment delayed; Money before municipal elections?

The installments for November and December in the Ladki Bahin scheme have been postponed. Although the November installment was received late, the December installment has not yet been credited to the account. There is confusion among women about when the money will arrive. It is expected that the installment may be credited to women's accounts before the municipal elections. An announcement from the government is expected soon.

  • ₹1500 benefit may be stopped for 45 lakh women who have not completed KYC.

  • KYC process for some beneficiaries is still ongoing.
