The Chief Minister's beloved sister scheme has caused serious financial damage to the state government due to bogus beneficiaries. The government has acknowledged that ineligible beneficiaries have resulted in a loss of a whopping 32 crore rupees. The government report states that the list of beneficiaries of the scheme includes 26 lakh ineligible women and 14,297 men.
