Under this scheme, eligible women in the state receive 1500 rupees directly deposited into their bank accounts every month. In the assembly elections, women voted overwhelmingly for the Mahayuti, and the party led by Devendra Fadnavis, Eknath Shinde, and Ajit Pawar came to power. However, now there is controversy over the implementation of this scheme, as women have become increasingly angry due to not receiving the installment for the past two months.

The results of the elections for 29 municipal corporations in the state were announced just yesterday. In this election, many parties raised the issue of the beloved sister scheme. Particularly, women from Bhandara district took to the streets and blocked the Mumbai-Kolkata highway due to not receiving their installment. Hundreds of women registered this protest and raised strong slogans against the government. Although the police peacefully removed these women after some time, their discontent remains.

Before the assembly elections, there was intense discussion about this scheme, and the government had clarified that under no circumstances would this scheme be discontinued. However, Finance Minister Ajit Pawar had made a suggestive statement about the significant burden this scheme was causing on the state's treasury. Accordingly, it was said that funds from other departments were being diverted for this scheme. During the election period, the Congress had also filed a petition in the Supreme Court regarding the installments of this scheme and demanded intervention.

For two months, beloved sisters have been waiting for the installment, but the money has not yet been deposited in the account. This movement in Bhandara has created unrest among women across the state. The government has not yet provided any explanation on this matter. The question of when the installment of the Ladki Bahin scheme will be deposited is now being asked repeatedly, and discontent among women is increasing.
