Under the Ladki Bahin scheme launched by the Maharashtra government, 1500 rupees are deposited every month into the bank accounts of beneficiary women. This scheme, which started before the assembly elections, greatly benefited the then Mahayuti government. Now, after Mahayuti has come to power again, a promise was made during the election campaign to give 2100 rupees instead of 1500 rupees. However, even after a year and a half in power, the increase has not happened. Against this backdrop, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has made a big announcement in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.

Shinde said, "The beloved sister scheme will never be shut down. No one can stop this scheme. Power comes and goes, but once a name is lost, it doesn't return, as Balasaheb Thackeray used to say. It is important to me how much love I have earned from people rather than money or wealth. I am someone who keeps and lives by my word. This is the government in the hearts of Maharashtra. We are going to make our beloved sisters millionaires. We had promised to give 2100 rupees, and we will fulfill that promise." Besides, he also mentioned that the decision on farmer loan waivers will be taken at the right time.

Shinde had previously spoken once or twice about the expansion of this scheme. Now, with this clear announcement, there is a possibility of an increase in the honorarium soon. The expansion of this scheme will benefit millions of women in the state and has also sparked discussions in political circles.
