Previously, elections for municipalities were held in 2016-17. Elections for 246 municipalities and 42 municipal councils will be held on December 2, and the results will be announced on December 3.

November 17 will be the last day for filing applications. The deadline for submitting nomination papers is from November 10 to 17, and scrutiny of applications will be conducted on November 18, while nomination papers can be withdrawn until November 21.
