Maharashtra continues to experience intense monsoon activity, with heavy rainfall lashing various parts of the state in recent days, leading to damage in agricultural areas. According to the latest weather forecast, heavy rains are expected to persist across multiple regions of the state for the next four days.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a high alert for Mumbai, Thane, and the entire Konkan coast, warning of intense showers starting today. Additionally, parts of Marathwada are also likely to experience heavy rainfall as the monsoon strengthens across central and western Maharashtra.

A yellow alert has been issued for the following districts:

  • Marathwada Region: Jalgaon, Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Ahilyanagar, Beed, Jalna, Parbhani, Nanded, Hingoli, and Latur.

  • Vidarbha Region: Wardha, Nagpur, Bhandara, and Gondia.

Meanwhile, Madhya Maharashtra is expected to receive light to moderate rainfall across most locations. The Ghat areas, particularly in Pune, Satara, and Kolhapur, are forecast to receive heavy downpours, raising the risk of localized flooding and waterlogging.
