The work of setting up a highway traffic management system for the convenience of travelers on the Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Maharashtra Samruddhi Mahamarg is underway. The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation has decided to completely halt traffic from January 27 to 31 for gantry work in 12 phases in the Amravati division. During this period, traffic will be stopped for 45 to 60 minutes in the afternoon, which may cause inconvenience to those traveling on the Nagpur-Mumbai route.

The work will take place between Dhamangaon Railway, Chandur Railway, Nandgaon Khandeshwar in Amravati, and Karanja in Washim. On January 27, the Mumbai line will be closed from 3 to 4 PM and the Nagpur line from 12 to 1 PM at Pathanpur-Dhamangaon (Chain No. 110.400). The Nagpur line will stop from 3 to 4 PM at Dhotra-Chandur Railway (125.400). On January 28, the Nagpur line will be closed from 3 to 4 PM at Khambala-Chandur (130.400) and the Mumbai line from 12 to 1 PM at Shelu-Nandgaon Khandeshwar (134.500).

Traffic will be smooth after the work is completed. On the Samruddhi highway, which is constantly in the news due to frequent accidents, 16 grand food courts (food malls) are being set up after petrol pumps. This will provide a stopping facility for drivers and reduce accidents. The corporation has appealed to drivers to use alternative routes and be informed about the timing.
