Marathwada Weather Alert: Rain and Strong Winds Forecast from July 1 to 5

Following widespread rainfall across the state, weather conditions in the Marathwada region are expected to intensify once again. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a weather alert predicting rain accompanied by gusty winds in the region between July 1 and July 5.

The forecast indicates the possibility of light to moderate rainfall at isolated locations in Marathwada during the warning period. The showers are likely to be accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds, with wind speeds reaching up to 30 kmph, meteorologists have said.

Weather officials further predict that rainfall in Marathwada could be above average between July 4 and 10. This upcoming spell of rain follows unseasonal heavy rainfall in May 2025, which had already impacted several parts of the region, affecting agricultural activities and crop conditions.

Recent heavy rains across Maharashtra have reportedly caused damage to crops and farmlands in several districts. With fresh showers expected, farmers and residents have been advised to take necessary precautions to safeguard agricultural equipment, produce, and livestock.
