Railway commuters in Mumbai should brace for delays and diversions tomorrow, as a mega block has been scheduled on all three major railway corridors — Central Railway, Harbour Line, and Western Railway — to facilitate essential engineering and maintenance work.

On the Western Railway, a block will be in effect between Vasai Road and Bhayander from 12:30 a.m. (midnight on Saturday) to 4:00 a.m. on Sunday. During this period, slow local trains will be diverted to the fast line to ensure uninterrupted maintenance activities.

The Central Railway will experience a block on the Up and Down fast lines between Thane and Kalyan from 10:40 a.m. to 3:40 p.m. As a result, local trains departing from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) between 9:34 a.m. and 3:03 p.m. will be diverted to the slow line in the affected section.

Meanwhile, on the Harbour Line, a block has been announced on the Up and Down lines between Wadala Road and Mankhurd from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. During this period, special local trains will operate on the Panvel–Mankhurd–Panvel route, and passengers will be permitted to use services on the Trans-Harbour Line between 10:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
