MHADA Konkan Board to Hold Lottery for 4,000 Homes in July
The Maharashtra Housing and Area Development Authority (MHADA) has announced that its Konkan Board will conduct a housing lottery for approximately 4,000 homes in July 2025. This initiative is part of MHADA’s broader plan to offer nearly 30,000 affordable homes annually across Maharashtra.
According to officials, the upcoming lottery will include 1,173 newly constructed houses in Chitalsar, along with units received by MHADA from the general housing stock. The majority of these homes will be located in Thane and Kalyan, where demand for affordable housing remains consistently high.
Preparations for the lottery are already underway, and the Konkan Board aims to streamline the application process to ensure transparency and efficiency. The announcement has sparked renewed hope among citizens aspiring to own a home in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
In addition to the July lottery, MHADA is also planning a separate lottery for approximately 5,000 homes in Mumbai during Diwali later this year.
Earlier in 2024, MHADA conducted a housing lottery under the Mumbai Board, with thousands of applications submitted by hopeful homebuyers. The Konkan Board’s upcoming draw is expected to attract similar enthusiasm.
