Sanjay Gaikwad Slaps MLA residence Canteen Staff Over Poor Food Quality

Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad has landed in controversy after a video surfaced showing him allegedly slapping a canteen staff member at the MLA Niwas (MLA Residence) in Mumbai. The incident, which reportedly occurred over complaints of poor food quality, has since gone viral on social media, drawing widespread criticism.

In the video, Gaikwad is seen confronting and physically assaulting a canteen worker. According to reports, the MLA had ordered a meal from the residential canteen and became enraged after being served dal and rice, which he claimed were spoiled and foul-smelling.

Eyewitnesses state that Gaikwad grew visibly angry over the alleged condition of the food, leading to the altercation. The video shows him shouting and slapping the staff member in full view of others at the premises.

The footage has sparked strong reactions online, with many questioning the appropriateness of a public representative resorting to physical violence, regardless of the complaint. Meanwhile, no official complaint has been filed by the canteen staff as of yet, and the MLA has not issued a public statement regarding the incident.
