(Light Bill Hike) Citizens are set to face an inflation shock even before Diwali. MSEDCL has announced an electricity rate increase, and on October 1, the MSEDCL department issued a circular.
Orders have been issued to charge fuel adjustment fees for electricity usage in September. In the October bill, there has been an increase of 35 to 95 paise per unit. This will significantly impact consumers now.
It is reported that an additional 35 paise per unit will be charged for usage between 1 to 100 units, and 95 paise per unit for usage over 500 units. During Diwali, the common citizens will face a shock due to the electricity rate hike, and this increase will affect the domestic, commercial, and industrial sectors.
