Mumbai Crime: Kidnapping of girls has increased in Mumbai, four to five girls go missing from the city daily

In the ever-bustling city of Mumbai, the incidence of crimes involving the abduction of minor girls is evidently increasing, as shown by the statistics of cases registered with the police. From January to October, 1187 cases of abduction of minor girls have been registered with the Mumbai police, out of which 1118 cases have been solved. The investigation of the remaining cases is ongoing. These incidents have once again brought the issue of girls' safety to the forefront in this financial capital.
Notably, in the month of October alone, 136 kidnapping cases were registered, out of which the police solved 102 cases. According to statistics, an average of four to five minor girls go missing daily in Mumbai. While 126 cases were registered in January, this number exceeded 136 in March, August, and October. By November and December, the number of cases had crossed a hundred.
Out of a total of 5886 crimes related to women, there are 1025 rape cases, including 526 cases related to minor girls. Out of these 5886, 5561 cases have been solved. Due to these increasing crimes, there is a need for Mumbai police to remain more vigilant, and there is a growing demand for special measures for the safety of girls.
