Mumbai Mega Block: Mega Block on Central, Harbour, Western Routes
On Sunday, July 20, due to scheduled maintenance and repair work on suburban railways, a mega block will be implemented on all three main local routes in Mumbai—Central, Harbour, and Western. On holidays, a large number of citizens set out to travel; however, due to this block, the availability of trains will be reduced, and passengers may face crowding, delays, and route changes.
Local services will be suspended on both up and down lines between CSMT and Chunabhatti-Bandra on the Harbor route from 11:10 AM to 4:40 PM. Special locals will be operated between CSMT and Kurla for the convenience of passengers. During this period, Harbor passengers are permitted to use the Main Line or Western Railway as an alternative.
The megablock on the Western Railway will be between Borivali and Goregaon on the up-down slow track from 10 AM to 3 PM. Some locals will be canceled during the block, while the remaining services will be diverted to the fast track. It has been informed that select Andheri and Borivali locals will be extended to Goregaon via the Harbor route.
There will be a block on the Central Railway's CSMT to Vidyavihar up-down slow routes from 10:55 AM to 3:55 PM. During this period, local train traffic will be shifted to the fast route, and as a result, mail and express trains may be delayed by approximately 10 to 15 minutes.
The railway administration has requested passengers to plan their travel on Sunday, choose alternative timings if necessary, and keep checking official updates on social media.
