On the day of Anant Chaturdashi, the Mumbai Municipal Corporation is seen ready to bid farewell to the beloved Bappa. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has made extensive preparations for the immersion of Ganpati Bappa. Nearly 10,000 officers and employees have been deployed by the corporation for the immersion arrangements. In Mumbai city and suburbs, 70 natural sites and about 290 artificial ponds have been prepared. For the convenience of citizens, 197 temporary toilets have also been set up.
Along with this, well-equipped fire brigade vehicles will also be deployed, and it is reported that 6,188 floodlights and 138 searchlights have been installed for search operations. There will also be 245 control rooms operational to assist the staff. For the devotees coming to the immersion sites, 236 first aid centers and 115 ambulances have been kept ready.
42 cranes will be for the immersion of large idols, and 56 motorboats will be for the immersion of small idols. Along with this, there will be 594 Nirmalya Kalash and 287 welcome desks have been set up.
