(Mumbai) After ten days of devoted worship of the beloved Lord Ganesha, farewells were bid to both household and public Ganesha idols yesterday. Ganesh immersion processions began with great enthusiasm across the state. A tragic incident occurred during the Ganesh immersion procession in Mumbai.

This incident occurred around midnight in the Khairani Road area. A small wire was hanging down from a high-tension wire on Khairani Road in front of SJ Studio. As this wire came into contact with the immersion trolley, five people received electric shocks. It has been reported that one person died, while four others were seriously injured.

Among the injured, the young man Binu Shivkumar died during treatment. Tushar Gupta, Dharmaraj Gupta, Aarush Gupta, Shambhu Kami, and Karan Kanojia are seriously injured and are undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.
