Nashik : 3 Minors Drown While Swimming in Artificial Lake
A tragic incident has occurred in Nashik city, where three minor children drowned in an artificial lake located in the Bidi Kamgar area. The incident took place on Sunday afternoon, casting a shadow of grief and shock over the local community.
According to reports, construction work was underway in the Bidi Kamgar locality, for which an artificial lake had been created. On Sunday, three children from the nearby neighborhood decided to go swimming in the lake, unaware of the risks. They ventured into the water without informing their families.
When the children did not return home by evening, worried family members began searching for them. Despite extensive efforts, no trace of the minors was found until late at night.
The following morning, relatives spotted clothes lying near the lake, which raised their suspicions. The fire brigade was immediately called, and a search operation was launched. Tragically, the bodies of all three children were recovered from the artificial lake.
The heart-wrenching incident has plunged the Bidi Kamgar area into mourning, as grieving families and local residents try to come to terms with the loss. Officials from the Adgaon police station have launched an investigation into the matter, including inquiries into the safety protocols around the artificial water body and whether appropriate precautions were taken during its creation.
