An incident has come to light in the Satpur-Ambad Link Road area of Nashik where three individuals disguised as monks lured a woman and made off with household valuables. This incident has caused a stir in the area, and there is an atmosphere of fear among the residents.

On the afternoon of August 10, three conmen dressed as sages came to the alley behind the Shrikrishna Temple near Patil Park. They engaged in conversation with a woman under the pretext of begging. They then told her that taking 'initiation' would bring prosperity in life.

Initially, they demanded 500 rupees, then kept the household members busy with requests like “order a kilo of ghee” and “serve tea.” Meanwhile, they tied a 'protection' thread on the woman's hand. They stole valuables worth about 20,000 rupees from the woman's house and immediately fled. Some time later, the woman realized she had been deceived. Upon learning of the incident, her husband filed a complaint at the MIDC Chunchale police station.

The police have conducted a spot inspection and started examining the CCTV footage from the area. Due to this incident occurring in a busy area during the day, there is an atmosphere of fear among the citizens, and the police have urged them to remain vigilant.
