Notice from Pune Sessions Court to Amruta Fadnavis
Amruta Fadnavis, wife of Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, has once again come into the spotlight. This time, the reason for the discussion is the ongoing case against her regarding defamation on social media.
In April 2025, a case emerged where offensive, false, and defamatory content about Amruta Fadnavis was posted on social media. She filed a complaint against seven individuals at the Pune Cyber Crime Police Station regarding this matter. The police promptly took action and arrested all seven accused by sending them notices. Currently, five of these seven accused are in police custody, while two are absconding.
Against this backdrop, the Pune Sessions Court has now issued a notice to Amruta Fadnavis. The court has directed her to either appear in person to clarify her personal statement in this case or submit her statement in writing through her lawyer.
Although this case is currently sub judice, discussions about it have surged on social media. The repeated campaigns against the Fadnavis family on social media, the possible political motivations behind them, and the complexities in the investigation of this case have caught everyone's attention.
Meanwhile, Amruta Fadnavis has not yet given an official response in this case. However, she has previously given strong responses to trolling against her on social media. Now, the political and legal circles in the state are keenly watching what direction the next hearing in this case takes.
