Pankaja Munde Exclusive: Speaks Out on Beed, Santosh Deshmukh Case, and Support for Dhananjay Munde

Pankaja Munde: 'What else should be done after resigning?' Pankaja Munde's reaction on Beed case

In an exclusive conversation with Lokshahi Marathi, BJP leader and former minister Pankaja Munde opened up on several pressing issues, including the political landscape, the recent developments in Beed, and her views on Dhananjay Munde. She also responded to Raj Thackeray’s recent remarks on river-related concerns.

“Politics Is No Longer the Same” – Pankaja Munde

Reflecting on the evolution of politics, Pankaja Munde stated, “Politics is no longer what it used to be. It would be unfair to expect the new generation of leaders to operate by the same standards and expectations of the past.” She acknowledged the changing dynamics of leadership and expressed hope for constructive progress from the younger generation of politicians.

Response to Raj Thackeray’s Stand on Rivers

Pankaja Munde also shared her thoughts on Raj Thackeray’s recent statement regarding rivers. She said, “The issue raised by Raj Thackeray is indeed significant. However, before taking any action, it is essential to consider the existing rules and regulations.” Her comments signaled cautious support while emphasizing the importance of due process.

“Beed Is Being Defamed” – Munde on the Santosh Deshmukh Case

Addressing the recent murder of Beed Sarpanch Santosh Deshmukh, Pankaja Munde expressed concern over the reputation of Beed district being unfairly tarnished due to the incident. “Beed has been defamed to a great extent because of this case. I believe justice should be served to the Deshmukh family, and I’ve voiced this on several occasions,” she said.

She further highlighted the collateral damage caused by such cases, pointing out that “people not connected to the incident are also facing unnecessary consequences. A single incident should not lead to defaming an entire district—Beed is not at fault.”

Pankaja Munde on Allegations Against Dhananjay Munde

Responding to questions regarding the allegations involving Dhananjay Munde, Pankaja clarified that the comments and scrutiny were not directed at the Munde family as a whole. “No one made any accusations against our entire family. The questions were raised about Dhananjay Munde because some of his associates were involved. He resigned from his position afterward—what more should be done now?” she asked pointedly during her interaction.

Her response suggests a degree of support for her cousin while underlining the principle of individual accountability.

This candid interview sheds light on Pankaja Munde’s perspectives on contemporary political affairs, regional controversies, and family dynamics—offering a glimpse into the evolving narrative of Maharashtra’s political landscape.
