Petition Filed Against MNS President Raj Thackeray
A public interest petition has been filed in the Supreme Court against MNS President Raj Thackeray. The petitioner, lawyer Ghanshyam Upadhyay, has filed this petition. The petition demands the filing of a case against Raj Thackeray. The petition also mentions the victory rally held on July 5.
In the backdrop of the upcoming Mumbai municipal elections, Upadhyay has claimed in his petition that it is politically motivated. Raj Thackeray and his MNS workers have been accused of inciting violence against Hindi speakers and spreading linguistic hatred.
Upadhyay has demanded that an FIR be filed against them in this case. He had already lodged a complaint with the concerned authorities regarding this matter. However, since no action was taken, he approached the court.
