(Election) The voting process for the elections of 29 municipal corporations in the state is taking place today. Voting will be held today in these 29 municipal corporations: Mumbai, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Pimpri–Chinchwad, Solapur, Kolhapur, Ichalkaranji, Sangli–Miraj–Kupwad, Nashik, Malegaon, Ahilyanagar, Jalgaon, Dhule, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nanded–Waghala, Parbhani, Jalna, Latur, Amravati, Akola, Nagpur, Chandrapur, Ulhasnagar, Kalyan–Dombivli, Bhiwandi–Nizampur, Mira–Bhayandar, Vasai–Virar, Panvel.

Voting will start at 7:30 in the morning and voters will be able to exercise their right to vote until 5:30 in the evening. The counting of votes will take place tomorrow, on the 16th. The entire state is focused on this election. In the backdrop of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation election voting, strict security arrangements have been implemented by the Dehu Road police from the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, and police have set up blockades at various places in the Dehu Road area.

Special police arrangements have been deployed in the MB Camp area, which is considered sensitive. Additionally, thorough inspection of suspicious vehicles is underway in the Kiwale Vikasnagar area to prevent any untoward incidents, with Dehuroad police maintaining vigilance. This entire inspection campaign is being conducted under the direct supervision of Senior Police Inspector Vikram Bansode of Dehuroad Police Station.
