(Navi Mumbai Airport Inauguration) The Navi Mumbai Airport will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi tomorrow, October 8. After the inauguration, the airport area will be handed over to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Navi Mumbai Airport is considered one of the most modern and environmentally friendly airports in the country.
The terminals are equipped with modern technology, and passengers will enjoy facilities such as direct check-in at the metro station, one-up and two-way baggage facilities. This will be the first airport in the country to be connected by water transport, and it will be linked by national highways, main urban roads, suburban railways, metro, and water transport.
After the inauguration, Prime Minister Modi will hold a public meeting. A grand pavilion has been erected for this. After arriving at Navi Mumbai International Airport, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will first inspect the terminal. This airport is expected to reduce the strain on Mumbai's growing air traffic and provide significant relief to air transportation. According to CIDCO's Managing Director Vijay Singhal, passenger traffic from the airport will commence in December.
