A major traffic jam has occurred due to a tanker accident on the Pune-Mumbai Expressway, affecting the bus services of the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation.

According to information received from the transport department, a total of 139 bus trips across various departments in the state have been cancelled due to the situation created by this accident. This includes 37 e-Shivneri and 66 other bus trips.

Additionally, a total of 163 vehicles of the Maharashtra State Transport Department were stuck in traffic on this expressway. This includes 46 vehicles from the Satara division, 36 from the Solapur division, 20 from the Pune division, 18 from the Sangli division, 13 from the Kolhapur division, 12 from the Palghar division, 11 from the Thane division, and 7 from the Mumbai division.

The highest priority is being given to passenger safety, and alternative arrangements have been made after reviewing the situation. As soon as traffic normalizes, bus services will be gradually restored.
