Heavy Rain Pune; Waterlogging in Low-Lying Areas Causes Traffic Disruptions

Since this morning, the sky over Pune city has been overcast, and the weather has remained cloudy. In the afternoon, as the rain intensified, showers began to pour in many parts of the city. Heavy rain also occurred in the Khadakwasla area and some dam regions. Due to this torrential rain, water has started accumulating in low-lying areas, and in some parts, water on the roads has caused significant inconvenience to the citizens.

Citizens going to work faced obstacles due to the rain. Many got drenched as they stepped out without a raincoat or umbrella. Traffic has slowed down in major areas like Dattawadi, Katraj, Swargate, and Dattawadi in the city. Long queues of vehicles have caused significant inconvenience to travelers.

The administration has advised citizens to step out only if necessary. The weather department has issued a rain warning for the next few hours for Pune and some other districts.
