Results of BEST Credit Society Polls to Be Declared Today

After a wait of 9 years, the five-year election of the BEST workers' credit society was finally held with enthusiasm on Monday. Despite the obstacle of rain, as many as 83 percent of the members voted, highlighting the excitement about this election. This election of the BEST Employees Co-op. Credit Society Ltd. is not limited to the credit society alone but is considered a rehearsal for the upcoming Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections.

In this election, a direct contest took place between the 'Utkarsh Panel' formed by the alliance of Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray faction) and MNS, and the BJP-supported Shramik Utkarsh Sabha as well as Samarth BEST Workers' Union. The atmosphere heated up during the campaign, and this contest ultimately turned into a battle between the Thackeray brothers and the BJP.

Voting began at 9 AM on Monday. Considering the possibility of rain, the time was extended until 6:30 PM. By evening, 83 percent of the members had voted, marking a record participation. Now, all eyes are on the results. It will be important to see who will emerge victorious in this election.
