(Latur Heavy Rain) Heavy rain is falling in the state. Crops have been damaged due to heavy rain in many districts. Flood situations have arisen in many villages, disrupting daily life.

Due to the recent rains in Latur district, rivers, streams, and rivulets have started overflowing. Many rivers have crossed the danger level. The main rivers in Latur district, such as Tawarja, Rena, Manjara, and Terna, are seen flowing in full spate.

Many bridges on the roads leading to villages have gone underwater, cutting off contact with several villages. Citizens are facing this situation. Despite appeals from the administration, citizens are risking their lives to cross the bridges.

Due to heavy rainfall, millions of hectares of farmland have been submerged. In many places, the fields look like ponds, and crops including soybeans have been completely destroyed, with crops rotting due to constant waterlogging. Therefore, farmers are demanding direct assistance from the administration instead of assessments.
