Manikrao Kokate has been caught in a whirlwind of controversy for the past few days. A video of Kokate playing the 'Rummy' game on his mobile went viral. Following this video, opponents strongly criticized him and demanded his resignation. Against this backdrop, the agriculture department has now been taken away from Manikrao Kokate. Dattatray Bharane will now oversee the affairs as the new Agriculture Minister of the state. Therefore, Manikrao Kokate will now be responsible for the Ministry of Sports and Youth Welfare.

Against this backdrop, Rohit Pawar has tweeted. Rohit Pawar said, 'Any ministerial position is a significant responsibility, and if the person in that position does not act responsibly and fails to do justice to the role, it affects the common people. Something similar happened with Kokate Saheb, and it was impacting ordinary farmers, which is why there was a demand for his resignation.'

'Instead of accepting Kokate Saheb's resignation, the government decided to remove the agriculture department and give the sports department. The sports department is also important from the youth's perspective, and while working in this department, it is expected that past mistakes will be avoided, and the experience will be used appropriately to do justice to the sports sector. Additionally, the new Agriculture Minister, Datta Mama Bharane, is expected to provide justice to farmers and remove the controversies surrounding this department.'

Along with this, he further said, 'If there is any mismanagement in any department affecting the common people, the entire government is responsible for it. Therefore, the leadership should not misunderstand that they are relieved by changing the department. We keep an eye on all departments and will continue to do so. Maharashtra will not tolerate any minister's insensitivity, so it is expected that all ministers will act responsibly,' said Rohit Pawar.
