Sanjay Raut Criticizes Eknath Shinde's Loyalty to Balasaheb
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut launched a scathing attack on Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a press conference today. Raut, known for his outspoken views, expressed strong displeasure over several political developments, including the alleged misuse of military symbolism in the BJP’s election campaign.
Criticism Over Use of Military Uniforms
Raut condemned the BJP for what he termed a “misuse of soldiers' uniforms” during their election rallies, particularly in the aftermath of Operation Sindoor. “How can military uniforms be used in political campaigns? The entire country has seen how Narendra Modi and his associates are winning elections — by misusing national symbols,” he alleged.
Direct Attack on Eknath Shinde
Turning his focus to CM Eknath Shinde, Raut made a pointed and emotional statement questioning Shinde’s loyalty to the ideals of Balasaheb Thackeray, the late Shiv Sena founder. “What should Eknath Shinde even listen to? He should ask himself—if he truly claims to be a follower of Balasaheb Thackeray—what was really discussed in the name of loyalty,” Raut said. He further accused Shinde of being tainted by corruption and invoked the Supreme Court’s observations on the issue of commission betting, implying deeper allegations. “How many quotes will you keep using to cover up corruption? The truth is evident from the Supreme Court’s stance. What I said is 100 percent true—I am a witness to it,” he asserted.
Political Heat Ahead of Elections
Raut’s fiery statements have added to the intensifying political atmosphere in Maharashtra, especially as the Shinde-led faction of Shiv Sena and the Uddhav Thackeray-led faction continue to clash on matters of ideology, leadership, and legacy. His remarks suggest growing tensions as both camps gear up for upcoming political battles in the state.
