ST Travel Passes Now to Be Distributed Directly at Schools and Colleges
In a welcome move for students across the state, the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has launched a new initiative to simplify the process of obtaining student travel passes. Beginning this academic year, students will receive their ST (State Transport) bus passes directly at their schools and colleges.
With the reopening of schools from today, this initiative comes as a major relief to students and parents alike. Under the campaign titled ‘ST Pass Directly to Your School’, the transport department aims to eliminate the need for students to queue up at ST pass centers.
The campaign has been rolled out under the directives of Transport Minister and MSRTC Chairman Pratap Sarnaik. Previously, students and their guardians had to visit ST depots and pass distribution centers, often facing long waits and logistical challenges.
Now, in coordination with educational institutions, ST staff will deliver the passes based on the list of eligible students provided by schools and colleges. This door-to-door approach is expected to streamline the process, reduce inconvenience, and ensure timely distribution of travel passes before the academic schedule gets fully underway.
