Shivaji Kardile began his career as a Sarpanch. In the 2024 assembly elections, he defeated Prajakta Tanpure. In the 2014 elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a public meeting in Rahuri for Kardile's campaign. In the 2019 elections, he faced defeat. His untimely passing has shocked his family, constituency, and everyone else. He was the father-in-law of Nationalist Congress Party MLA Sangram Jagtap.
