In anticipation of the grand Shivarajyabhishek ceremony at Raigad Fort on June 6, the Raigad district administration has announced traffic restrictions on key routes, including the Mumbai-Goa Highway, to ensure smooth movement of devotees and prevent congestion.

Thousands of Shiva devotees from across Maharashtra are expected to gather at the historic fort to attend the cultural and religious celebrations. In view of the increased footfall, Raigad District Collector Kishan Javale has issued an order imposing restrictions on the movement of heavy vehicles in specific areas.

Restricted Routes and Timings

The traffic restrictions will be in effect from 4:00 PM on June 5 until 10:00 PM on June 6 and apply to the following routes:

  • Mumbai-Goa Highway (Nagothane to Kashedi stretch)

  • Mangaon–Nizampur–Pachad Road

  • Mahad–Natekhind–Pachad Road

The administration has emphasized that the restrictions are necessary to facilitate safe and hassle-free travel for devotees attending the event at Raigad Fort. Authorities have appealed to truck drivers and transport companies to cooperate with the temporary regulations and plan alternative routes accordingly.

The district police and transport departments will be monitoring compliance and ensuring that traffic flows smoothly during the event, which holds immense historical and cultural significance.
