The press release issued by the Siddhivinayak Temple Trust states that millions of devotees come from far and wide for darshan. Advance notice has been given considering their convenience. During this period, devotees will not be able to have darshan of the actual idol, but darshan of the replica will be available. The trust's executive officer, Veena Patil, has appealed to devotees to cooperate.

Shri Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple is a major Hindu pilgrimage site in Mumbai. This temple was originally built by Laxman Vithu and Deubai Patil on November 19, 1801. Today, it is one of the wealthiest temples in Mumbai. Every year, the temple is closed for the Sindoor Lepan ceremony, which increases the crowd of devotees.

After the completion of the Sindoor Lepan ceremony, on Monday, January 12, 2026, the Prokshanvidhi, Naivedya, and Aarti will be performed in the morning. Thereafter, as usual, darshan will begin at exactly 1:00 PM from the sanctum. The trust has requested devotees to take note of this change and cooperate.
