(Sina River Flood) Torrential rain has been falling in Solapur since yesterday. Since midnight on Monday, heavy rain has been falling, causing immense damage to farmers' crops. In the state, there has been cloudy weather with light showers for the past few days.
Due to the rain last week, crops have been damaged in many areas. In some places, flood conditions were created. There is heavy rain in Akkalkot, Barshi, and Mohol talukas of Solapur. A warning has been issued to the villages along the river. Against this backdrop, holidays have now been declared for schools in the rural areas of Solapur district.
Against this backdrop, for the first time in history, the Sina River has experienced a major flood due to this torrential rain. Currently, water is flowing in the Sina River in Madha and Karmala talukas of Solapur district at a discharge rate of 2,12,651 cusecs. Water has entered 16 villages in Madha taluka and 10 villages in Karmala taluka.
Therefore, approximately 1800 citizens have been relocated. In the village of Shingewadi in Madha taluka, 9 people were trapped in the flood. The administration has successfully rescued them. The village of Undargaon in Madha taluka is surrounded by the waters of the Sina river, and 16 villages in the taluka have been affected by the flood. The daily life in many villages has been disrupted, and many crops have been submerged.
