944 Central Railway Trains to Run for Diwali
Unreserved arrangements for passenger convenience
(Central Railway) This Diwali, Central Railway has announced the operation of 944 special trains. These trains will be both reserved and unreserved, running from cities like Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur, Kolhapur to major destinations in North and South India. Facilities have been arranged for passengers traveling to places like Kolhapur, Sawantwadi, Gorakhpur, Danapur, Nizamuddin, Sanganer, Thiruvananthapuram North, and Kalaburagi. The trains will include a mix of air-conditioned, sleeper, and unreserved coaches.
During this period, a large number of travelers return to their hometowns every year. The demand for additional trains increases significantly during this time. The railway administration has made special arrangements for the convenience of passengers. 'May I Help You' booths will be started at important stations. The number of ticket counters will be increased at major stations, and separate 'holding areas' will be set up for passengers at CSMT and LTT.
Additionally, considering security, RPF personnel and additional ticket inspectors will be deployed. These special trains will be operated from September 26 to November 29. Special trains will also run towards cities like Latur, Nanded, Sawantwadi Road, Nagpur, Pune, and Kolhapur in Maharashtra, as well as southern cities like Karimnagar, Kazipet, Kochuveli, and Bengaluru.
