(Supriya Sule) Supriya Sule has written a letter to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. In this letter, Supriya Sule has stated that, 'Voting for the local self-government elections in Maharashtra was held yesterday, Tuesday, December 2, 2025. Towards the end of the voting, scenes of fierce clashes between two groups in some parts of the state were seen on news channels. Witnessing this shocking situation in the elections of Maharashtra, a state known for guiding the nation, has caused deep sorrow and pain in my heart. At this moment, I am wondering how such a thing could even happen in our Maharashtra. Maharashtra is the land that carries forward the legacy of the progressive thoughts of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj, Bharat Ratna Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, and the architect of modern Maharashtra, the late Yashwantrao Chavan Saheb. This land has always upheld democratic values and has worked to guide the nation in nurturing them. In our Maharashtra, which has a strong democracy, an enlightening and constitutional tradition, such fierce clashes during the elections — known as the grand festival of democracy — are completely inappropriate, unacceptable, and unworthy of the state's reputation.'

'The disturbing fact is that the Election Commission, which is responsible for ensuring that elections are conducted peacefully, in a fearless environment, and fairly, has taken no action on these incidents of violence. In fact, the Election Commission was expected to take cognizance of these incidents on its own and take strict action against those committing such acts. In a strong democracy, such violent clashes during elections, especially on such a large scale, tarnish democratic values. The level of politics is deteriorating day by day, and this raises the question among the people of the state as to what kind of legacy we are leaving behind for the next generations.'

Along with this, she further said, 'Honourable Chief Minister, you are the head of Maharashtra. The responsibility of preserving the state's traditions, values, and prestige lies with you. That is why I am writing this letter to you, with the expectation that you will take the strictest possible action against those who tarnish the state's prestige and reputation. This is necessary to maintain the sanctity of the democratic system. This is what Supriya Sule has written in the letter.'
