Due to a drop in minimum temperature, the intensity of cold has increased, and the state has been experiencing cold for the past few days. A cold wave warning has been issued for the next two to three days in Central Maharashtra, Khandesh, and Vidarbha.

As the cold wave is expected to persist for the next two to three days, the intensity of the chill will remain highest. Due to the increased flow of cold air from North India, the cold has intensified in the state. The chill is likely to persist in the areas of Dhule, Jalgaon, Nandurbar, Nashik, Nashik Ghat region, Ahilyanagar, Pune, Pune Ghat region, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, Parbhani, Beed, Hingoli, Nanded, Amravati, Gondia, Nagpur, Wardha, and Yavatmal for the next few days.

The minimum temperature recorded at the Colaba center of the Meteorological Department on Monday was 22.2 degrees Celsius, while at the Santacruz center it was 18.4 degrees Celsius.
