Mumbai Dams Overflow, But Water Shortage Hits Bandra and Surrounding Areas

Although the reservoirs supplying water to Mumbai are filled, some areas are facing water shortages. Residents in Bandra, Kalanagar, as well as in the western suburbs of Santacruz, Goregaon, Dindoshi, and Gorai are troubled by the water shortage.

Residents have complained that water supply is low in many places, and in some areas, there is no water coming from the taps. It has come to light that there is a water shortage in Shivdi Ward No. 206 in the city. Despite repeated complaints from residents, the municipality is reportedly neglecting the issue. Many societies are facing the problem of water scarcity.
