Nashik: Tree plantation to be done today in the first phase

(Nashik) Environmentalists are strongly opposing the proposed tree cutting in the Tapovan area of Nashik, as there is a plan to build Sadhugram in Tapovan for the preparations of the Simhastha Kumbh Mela. For this Sadhugram, nearly 1800 trees in Tapovan will have to be cut. Environmentalists oppose this tree cutting.

Against this backdrop, there is opposition to the proposed tree cutting in Tapovan, while on the other hand, trees have been ordered from Rajmundry in Hyderabad. Against this backdrop, 15,000 trees dispatched from Rajmundry have now arrived in Nashik. Girish Mahajan personally selected 15,000 native trees in Rajmundry. These trees will be planted in different parts of the city.

Banyan, Peepal, Neem, Jamun will be planted, and initially, 15,000 trees will be planted. 15,000 trees will be planted in Nashik on Monday, and in this, an interim stay has been given on the tree cutting in Tapovan until January 15. The tree plantation program under Green Nashik will be conducted today by Minister Girish Mahajan. The plantation of 15,000 trees in the first phase will be done today.
