The groom joined the ongoing protest for water right in chhatrapati sambhajinagar
While the state is facing a drought-like situation, the serious issue of water scarcity in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district is now affecting people's personal lives as well. A vivid example of this was seen in the city today, when a groom dressed for his wedding joined the ongoing protest for water right before entering his wedding tent.
The groom's car breaks down, but the excitement remains.
This incident happened at the 'Labadano Paani Dya' protest being held in the city by the Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) party. The groom's car, which was on its way to the wedding, suddenly stopped on the road. As soon as this was noticed, the Shiv Sena leaders present at the protest site requested him to join the protest for some time. The special thing is that the groom jumped straight into the protest without hesitating for a moment.
"I am getting married, but how can I live if there is no water? It is late because of the lack of water... Now my wife is waiting, but I prefer the water fight first," said the groom emotionally. His stance was welcomed with applause by the citizens present at the protest site.
Even marriages are being stopped without water!
Many parts of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district have been facing severe water shortage for the past few months. This has not only affected agriculture and domestic needs, but also social activities. In some villages, while giving away a girl child, the typical question is asked, "Is there water in the village?" Now parents are saying bluntly, "We will give away a girl child only if there is water." This situation is very serious and raises questions about the basic needs of the society.
"Liars, give me water!", Anger erupts in protest
In Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar, Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) group leaders Chandrakant Khaire and Ambadas Danve staged protests in various parts of the city. The slogan "Labadano, give me water!", on behalf of the Shiv Sena (Ubatha) party, set the direction of the protest. The protesters said that, "The government has made people stand in a queue waiting for water. A water certificate is required for marriage, this is a tragedy. The groom has joined the protest, this is the latest example of the government's lack of sensitivity."
Questioning the administration's negligence
This protest once again made it clear that the life of ordinary citizens has become difficult due to the indifferent policies of the administration and the government. They have to struggle for water every day, and now even people's marital decisions have become dependent on water. "Is this government asleep? Can't they provide water?" Local citizens and protesters are asking these questions.
