It is reported that five people, including Ajit Pawar, died in this accident. The accident caused plumes of smoke to spread in the area for some time. The accident was so severe that the entire plane was burnt to ashes. As soon as the information about the incident was received, people rushed to the spot. The crashed Bombardier Learjet-45 aircraft was fit for flight. There were no technical difficulties or issues, according to the investigation report. Both pilots on the aircraft were licensed and medically fit. The registration number of the aircraft that crashed in Baramati was VT-SSK. It has been revealed that this chartered aircraft was operated by VSR Ventures Private Limited.

There was no technical difficulty in the aircraft. The airworthiness certificate for it was issued on 10 September 2025. Its validity was until 14 September 2026. The chief pilot of the aircraft, Sumit Kapoor, had more than 15,000 hours of flying experience. Co-pilot Shambhavi Pathak also had flying experience. This is mentioned in the preliminary report.
