Parbhani Temperature Alert: Heatwave to Grip Region for the Next Two Days, Warns Meteorological Department

With temperatures steadily climbing across Maharashtra, the Meteorological Department has issued a heatwave alert for Parbhani district for the next two days. The temperature in the region has already breached the 40-degree Celsius mark, raising concerns over public health and safety.

Over the past few days, many areas in the state have experienced intense heat, and the discomfort has been noticeable since March itself. As the summer season intensifies through April and May, residents are bracing for even more challenging weather conditions.

Heatwave Despite Unseasonal Rain in Some Areas

The current temperature continues to hover above 40°C, with the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasting a heatwave to persist for the next 48 hours in the district.

According to meteorologists, such heatwave conditions could lead to heat exhaustion, dehydration, and other heat-related illnesses, especially among vulnerable populations like the elderly, children, and outdoor workers.

Authorities are urging citizens to avoid stepping out during peak afternoon hours, stay hydrated, and wear light, breathable clothing. Public health advisories have also been circulated, encouraging people to take shelter from direct sunlight and consume plenty of fluids.
