On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the song 'Vande Mataram', the Maharashtra government has ordered all schools in the state to sing the entire 'Vande Mataram' song from October 31 to November 7, 2025.

Against this backdrop, a reality check has been conducted by Lokshahi in Urdu schools. If Vande Mataram is not sung, action will be taken against the school, as informed by the education officers of Pune and Sambhajinagar.

In the same context, it has been observed that the government order has not been followed in Urdu schools in the state, and in most Urdu schools, the group singing of the Vande Mataram song has not been done.
