11th Admission: Last Day to Submit Applications Today; Technical Glitches Persist in Final Phase
Today marks the final day for submission of applications for Class XI admissions across Maharashtra, but technical issues continue to trouble students, particularly in the Mumbai division. Despite the Education Department's efforts to streamline the online process, a number of unresolved complaints remain, adding to the anxiety of applicants.
According to official data, as of June 4, more than 12.20 lakh students have registered statewide, including over 1.19 lakh students from the Mumbai division. While the admission software is functioning smoothly in most areas, technical glitches have persisted in some regions, especially affecting CBSE ‘repeater’ students.
Shriram Panzhade, Director of the Education Department, acknowledged the ongoing issues. "Initially, we received around 17,000 complaints, of which 900 are still pending," he said. “It is our responsibility to resolve 100 percent of the complaints, and we will not rest until that work is completed.”
The department’s primary concern remains addressing the backlog of unresolved cases by the end of the day, particularly as June 5 is the deadline for the application process. The unresolved issues have led to rising stress among students and parents, many of whom are concerned about their admission status.
The Education Department is racing against time to provide relief to students affected by the technical problems. While efforts are underway to resolve every pending issue, the volume and urgency have turned the final day into a significant challenge for authorities.
As the deadline looms, students are advised to continue following official updates and remain in contact with admission helplines for assistance.
