Uddhav Thackeray On MNS Reunion: "We will see...", Uddhav Thackeray spoke clearly about the alliance with MNS
As Shiv Sena marked its 59th Foundation Day today, party chief Uddhav Thackeray addressed a large gathering of Shiv Sainiks with a powerful and provocative speech. Alongside his continued criticism of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Thackeray also spoke publicly—perhaps for the first time in clear terms—about the possibility of a reunion with the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS), led by his estranged cousin Raj Thackeray.
During his address, Thackeray did not mince words when targeting BJP leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. His scathing remarks were in line with his party’s ongoing confrontation with the ruling alliance in both state and central politics.
However, what drew particular attention was Thackeray’s cryptic but suggestive comment on the speculation around a potential alliance with the MNS.
“Should we come together or not—who are you to decide that?” Thackeray said in response to media and political chatter surrounding a possible tie-up. “We will see what needs to be done. Whatever the people of the state wish, will happen.”
His remarks have reignited discussions in Maharashtra’s political circles, with observers now closely watching for any signs of rapprochement between the two Thackeray cousins, who have shared a complicated and often adversarial political history.
The potential for a Shiv Sena–MNS alliance could have significant implications for the political landscape ahead of the upcoming elections. As speculation intensifies, all eyes are on whether the two parties will set aside their differences in a bid to consolidate the Marathi vote base.
