In the backdrop of the municipal elections, efforts to unite against the BJP are rapidly underway. In this context, it is understood that Ajit Pawar has had preliminary discussions with former Congress minister Satej Patil about coming together in the Pune Municipal Corporation. In today's meeting, leaders of both groups had a positive discussion about fighting together, and it has been clarified that there is also readiness to form an alliance with other allies in the Maha Vikas Aghadi. A final decision will be taken at a senior level, as informed by NCP spokesperson Ankush Kakade.

A proposal has been prepared today for the Pune Municipal Corporation elections, which will be discussed with Supriya Sule and Shashikant Shinde. The process of announcing the final decision after holding meetings with activists is underway, said NCP city president Prashant Jagtap. Leaders of both parties had a meeting at night. There is an agreement to fight together, and some adjustments will be made in seat sharing. Preparations are underway in this regard, and the alliance will be announced on the 25th or 26th, said Pune city president of Ajit Pawar group, Subhash Jagtap.

The Nationalist Congress Party has distributed responsibilities, assigning MLA Rohit Pawar for Mumbai, MP Supriya Sule for Pune, and MP Dr. Amol Kolhe for Pimpri-Chinchwad. Additionally, a list of in-charge leaders for the elections of 29 municipal corporations has also been announced.

Shashikant Shinde said, “In the meetings held in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad, the workers have expressed a desire to form an alliance with the Ajit Pawar group. Discussions have taken place in this regard, and a decision will be made in a manner that ensures justice for the workers.”
