Babajani Durrani Set to Join Congress Today

Sharad Pawar's NCP has suffered a major blow in Parbhani. Former MLA Babajani Durrani is set to join Congress at Tilak Bhavan in Mumbai today at 11 AM. It has been reported that hundreds of supporters will also take up the Congress flag along with him.

Before the local self-government elections, significant upheaval is being observed among political parties. After joining the party, Babajani Durrani is expected to receive a major responsibility from Congress in Parbhani. Babajani Durrani first became a legislator in 2004.

After this, in 2012 and 2018, he represented the Sharad Pawar group in the Legislative Council. After the split in the Nationalist Congress Party, he joined the Ajit Pawar group for some time but returned to the Sharad Pawar group. Now, his decision to join Congress has dealt a major blow to the Sharad Pawar group.
