According to reports, Ghosalkar submitted his resignation to the party's departmental head via WhatsApp, signaling a clear break from the Uddhav Thackeray-led faction of the Shiv Sena.

Following the resignation, speculation is rife that Ghosalkar may align with either the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) or Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena. However, an official confirmation on his next political move is still awaited.
