A woman named Kalpana Bhagwat had stayed for as long as six months in a large hotel in the city using forged documents. The inclusion of the name of Hingoli MP Nagesh Patil Ashtikar from the Thackeray group in the list of financial transactions in this case has caused a major stir in political circles. MP Ashtikar said that he had met Kalpana Bhagwat a few times. She introduced herself as “a disciple of Ramabhadracharya Maharaj” and was asking for donations for the temple. That is why he initially gave 20 thousand rupees. Later, she also asked for financial help citing illness and accidents, and he said that some amount was given from a humanitarian perspective. He clarified that he had sent the last amount on October 29. The police investigation is currently underway, and there is a possibility that more people's dealings and contacts may come to light in this case.
